If you fall into both categories, like me, then it’s a no-brainer to snap up both sleek looking devices. Anker 140W Charger review The home office tool is a 140W wall charger which is designed to keep your cables securely in place. It has four downward facing ports that make this easy. When plugged into a power socket, all the cables hang vertically so they are less likely to fall out. If you have a socket on your desk, all of the cables will be on one side which is aesthetically pleasing. You can charge a laptop, tablet, phone and earbuds or wearable simultaneously using the Anker device. The wall charger has three USB-C ports and one USB-A port and uses aerospace-grade Gallium Nitride for higher efficiency and safer re-fuelling.Each of the 140W USB-C ports can be used to fast-charge one of the latest 16in Apple MacBook Pro models. However, do note that because the maximum output is 140W you can’t charge two MacBooks at that rate simultaneously. In fact, the maximum output for all four ports reduces to 134W if you are using them simultaneously. When using all four ports at the same time, you can get 65W from one of the PD 3.1 ports and 45W from the other, along with 12W from the third USB-C port and 12W from the USB-A. That’s enough for a MacBook Pro or an iPad Pro and an iPhone, along with a couple more lower power devices such as earbuds or a smartwatch. On top of all this, Anker 140W Charger has a digital display that indicates the real-time power for each port and when fast charging is activated. The charger is available in either silver or grey and you can fold away the socket pins when not in use which is handy if packing in a bag or case. Anker 165W Power Bank review For the more mobile user, Anker’s 25,000mAh Power Bank has 165W total output, retractable cables and official certification for air travel. It’s about the size of a can of Red Bull and the two retractable cables mean it is a great device for sharing power with friends or colleagues. The longer of the two cables is 690mm and gives you great versatility for using while walking or sitting on a train or plane. The other cable is 300mm and can be used as a lanyard to loop the device onto a bag or backpack. Along with the retractable cables, the 25K Power Bank includes three USB-C ports and one USB-A port that can refuel four devices simultaneously.The 25K Power Bank can be refuelled using any of its USB-C ports at up to 100W and Anker claims a full charge of the Power Bank takes one hour and 42 minutes. The clever square digital display gives you information on real-time data such as total output power, the output for each port and the health status of your power bank. The device even supports pass-through charging, once you use a charger rated at 20W or more. This is incredibly handy for working away from home. The USB PD 3.0 tech means that your devices receive the right amount of power and maintain safe charging at both ends of the USB cable. Verdict I can’t recommend Anker’s new multi-device charging solutions highly enough - they will cover all your power needs no matter where you may be located, at home, in a hotel or on the move.Pricing and availability Anker 140W Charger costs €109 and Anker 25K Power Bank costs from €106.
