RTE presenter Anna Geary has opened up about the grief of losing her brother Thomas last year - as she admits she is still processing the immense pain of his passing
The presenter lost both her brother and her dad in a short space of time last year.
She has said she is 'still processing' the loss, and she needs to focus on the good to keep herself going.She admitted she is 'still processing' the death of her brother Thomas.The heart-breaking news came just four months after the birth of the four-time All-Ireland winner and husband Kevin Sexton's son Ronan in August.
Opening up about the loss on The Late Late show on Friday night, Anna said: "It doesn't matter how long somebody's been gone, when two people you love go so quickly together and then there is a baby in the middle of it, it has been the strangest two years of my life.The RTE presenter said that having things to keep her going was vital during the period following the loss of her brother and her dad: "Ronan kept me getting up every morning.
"It is about finding ways and when I wrote the book last year and dad was gone, for me it was about thinking about everything I have learned from life and everything life had thrown at me and what is it that I do to cope and how do I cope?," Anna said. She added: "Everybody feels that in different ways. We all have our stuff. It mightn't be grief, it could be something else.
