Leanne has started recruiting for The Institute Leanne Battersby is set to start recruiting more members into sinister cult The Institute in Coronation Street, leaving one character in a worrying position. Over the past few months, Leanne has been taken in by charming cult recruiter Rowan Cunliffe , and has totally fallen for The Institute’s tactics – much to the horror of sister Toyah Battersby and partner Nick Tilsley .
Things got even more worrying when Toyah realised that Amy was considering getting involved, and she was quick to warn her off. However, Amy brushed off her concerns, and insisted that she was an adult who could make her own decisions. Leanne has told Rowan everything about herself In upcoming scenes, Leanne decides to spend a day looking after Toyah, following her hospital visit, though she is left with a dilemma when Rowan calls and asks her to attend a taster session for new recruits.
