Bob Boughner on latest COVID issue: “We’re just trying to fit guys in different positions every day when something else happens.”

Winger Alexander Barabanov tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, coach Bob Boughner said, but another Sharks forward is ready to rejoin their top-six forward group.

Barabanov, 27, is sixth on the Sharks with 20 points in 32 games. He’s also fifth among all Sharks forwards in ice time, averaging 16:49 per game. “We’re going to have to wait and see how we can keep up with that ice time. There might be some changes throughout the game because line has been playing a lot. But it’s a good spot for him to start for sure.”
