The family of Aoife Johnston, who died tragically, is calling for a statutory inquiry into her death. They argue that previous investigations, such as the Hamilton Report and Clarke Report, were insufficient in providing answers and accountability. Their solicitor, Damien Tansey, emphasizes the limitations of inquests in finding fault and vindicating individuals. He believes a statutory inquiry, while not necessarily public, would be the most appropriate avenue to uncover the truth and address the family's concerns.
