Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of taking advantage of the distress in the country to derail the electioneering process ahead of this month’s presidential election. A spokesman for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PDP-PCC), Mr. Charles Aniagwu, who stated this at a news conference in Asaba, yesterday, said PDP was in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive to recirculate old N200 notes till April 10, this year to ease the suffering of the masses.

“We believe it is important the CBN takes steps to further ameliorate what the masses are going through.” He added: “We also agree that it is important to take steps to curb corruption, vote-buying and insecurity, which has been major problems.
