Leeds United youngster Archie Gray was put into an unfamiliar right-back role, something which wrong-footed the Robins, according to assistant boss Curtis Fleming

Daniel Farke's decision to install Archie Gray into an unfamiliar right-back role against Bristol City caught the Robins on the hop, according to assistant boss Curtis Fleming. The Leeds United teamsheet raised plenty of questions when it was unveiled at 2pm on Saturday afternoon, as Sam Byram was the only recognised full-back in the starting XI.

Aside from this full-back admission, Fleming thought his side were unlucky to come away from Elland Road empty handed. Goals from Daniel James and Joel Piroe either side of a Kal Naismith strike were enough to earn the Whites back-to-back Championship wins. “When you come away to Leeds and you match them for 96 minutes, 97 minutes and come out of it with nothing, you're still a bit disappointed,” Fleming said. “No doubt we had a couple of chances but we felt like it was a bit of a lost chance today.
