BREAKING: Huge emergency services response, including armed officers amid reports of stabbing in Levenshulme
There was a large emergency services response to an incident in Levenshulme on Sunday evening, amid eyewitness reports of a serious stabbing.
According to reports from the scene, around nine police vehicles attended the location on the A6 in Levenshulme at the the junction of Crayfield Road. Armed police were also at the location and there were reports of at least four ambulances in attendance. A large police cordon was in place Sunday night covering the area from Crayfield Road to Marley Road.Pools of blood could be seen near to the steps of Wayne's convenience store along with emergency medical equipment.
Eyewitnesses told the MEN that at least one person had been taken to hospital in an ambulance under police escort. The exact nature of the incident is not year clear, or the condition of those involved.READ NEXT:
