The warrant was carried out at a property on Armitage Avenue in Little Hulton yesterday . Armed officers burst in at around 3.15pm.
The 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a firearms offence, as well as on suspicion of a serious assault. He remains in custody for questioning.Police said the offence being investigated was 'isolated' and 'there is no threat' to the community.
