BREAKING: Armed police swarm Morecambe property after 'gunshot fired'
Police were called to the Heysham Road in Morecambe at around 4pm following reports of a firearm discharge.
Officers believe that a man fired a weapon at a property on the road before fleeing the scene. Nobody was injured during the incident.Police are now appealing for anyone with any information to come forward. A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: "We are currently at the scene of an incident in Heysham and wanted to give you some more information about it. We were called at around 4pm to reports of a firearm discharge on Heysham Road. It is believed a man shot at an address before fleeing the area.
“Over the coming days we will also have high-visibility uniformed patrols in the area and anybody with concerns is welcome to speak to them. Our enquiries are very much underway to establish what occurred and anybody with information is asked to get in touch with us straight away. Whatever information you have, however small, please tell us.”
