Ireland goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher was outstanding for Liverpool in Saturday's Premier League win over Bournemouth.
Caoimhin Kelleher 's performance for Liverpool against Bournemouth on Saturday earned him rave reviews from manager Arne Slot.
And that impressed his new manager Slot, who last week reacted to Kelleher's comments by insisting that he wasn't surprised by the 25-year-old's ambition. "We needed our goalkeeper today more than in all the other matches we played before because, like I just said, Bournemouth got more chances than I am used to seeing the other teams getting against us in the first six games of the season.
"It was Thursday or Friday that I was preparing myself to play as Ali felt his hamstring. I got the nod yesterday and kept a clean sheet so it was positive," he said. "Sometimes chances are few and far between so you have to come in and show how you can play."
