Around the Oval: Ohio State women's hoops and fencing win conference titles while both track and field squads and men's swimming finished second at the Big Ten Championships.
Though neither squad was able to win the team title, there were several Buckeyes who brought home individual titles.
On the women’s side, Anavia Battle won two titles as she finished first in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.28 seconds and won 200-meter gold in a Big Ten Championships record time of 22.39 seconds. Fellow Olympian Adelaide Aquilla won the shot put with a top throw of 18.71 meters and Jaimie Robinson took triple jump gold with a winning distance of 13.02 meters.
On the men’s side, Tyler Johnson won two titles as he finished first in both the 200 and 400 , while Luke Bendick took gold in the pole vault with a winning height of 5.45 meters.Men's swimming and diving competed for a Big Ten title this weekend and came up just shy, finishing second in the conference championship event.
