A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murdering a 33-year-old Hayward resident in Richmond.
RICHMOND — A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a, where the victim was killed after traveling with the suspect from Oakland, police said.
Authorities have not released the name of the shooter, pending a decision by the Contra Costa District Attorney on whether to file charges. He was arrested around 2 p.m. Monday, police said. The victim, a 33-year-old Hayward resident, was shot and killed at Southside Park near South Sixth Street and Virginia Avenue.
Police say the two men began arguing in Oakland, and rode to Richmond together, ostensibly to sort out their differences. The victim was shot and killed after their arrival in Richmond.
