Arsenal have kicked off their summer transfer business with a number of exits and Mikel Arteta has pulled rank in order for the Gunners to complete their next deal with Serie A side Lazio
Arsenal flop Nuno Tavares has completed a move to Italian giants Lazio after seemingly losing the faith of Mikel Arteta.
The now 24-year-old was signed from Benfica in 2021. He made 28 appearances across his debut campaign but endured a tricky time, with one particularly difficult outing seeing him hauled off before half-time in an FA Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest. Speaking to Portuguese outlet Record last week, he said: “Yes, obviously, I have in mind to return to Arsenal and have a good pre-season. Regardless of what happens in the future, I will always do my best, as I have done in all pre-seasons, to have a place at the club.“I always try to do my work in the best way. Then it’s up to the club to decide whether I’m a valid option or not. But I have a strong mentality. I know what I’m capable of.
