The north London rivals are reported to be battling it out for the Atletico Madrid star but the Gunners are thought to have the edge over Spurs
Arsenal are thought to be favourites over bitter rivals Tottenham for the signing of French midfielder Thomas Lemar in the January transfer window.
The two north London sides are said to have the strongest interest in the player, but according to Spanish outlet AS the Gunners have the edge over Spurs due to being in a more commanding financial situation. Atletico would clearly prefer the money, which would be more or less the same amount as they paid for Lemar, and that would appear to put Arsenal in the driving seat for the signature.
He was linked with the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid but ended up at Atletico, where he has failed to replicate his previous form.
