, Rwanda has wasted no time in cracking down on human rights, just weeks after hosting Commonwealth leaders in the capital, Kigali.including Prince Charles, where leaders thanked President Paul Kagame for his “leadership in chairing the meeting” and outlined commitments to Covid recovery, vaccine distribution and anti-terrorism measures.

The CPJ adds that over 2020 and 2021 the prosecution, judiciary and the Rwanda Media Commission did not respond to its requests for comment about the case.
