Asda and Morrisons are both issuing urgent 'no receipt' refunds

Supermarket giants Asda and Morrisons have both issued an urgent recall over a food product which could be contaminated with a bacteria which causes a rare infection.Listeria is a type of bacteria which can contaminate many foods. People who eat foods affected with Listeria can develop an infection called listeriosis.It's particularly bad news for older people, pregnant mums or their newborns and those with weak immune systems but it can make anybody ill.

"What should you do? If you have purchased ASDA ES Taleggio with date code 14-04-2024, please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt.Morrisons is recalling Morrisons Best Taleggio with a a Use By 14th April because there is a potential risk that some packs may contain Listeria.

It said: "Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don’t need a receipt. "No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety."
