Kallum Radford, 26, told cops he was stopped by two men in a Hyundai as he was walking down the street.
A man accused of helping to hide a car used in the shooting of Ashley Dale claims he was 'randomly approached' by two "Scousers". Kallum Radford, 26, told cops he was stopped by two men in a Hyundai in St Helens as he was walking down a street, reports The Echo.
Radford, who said he was "on the dole" at the time, says they offered him money. The court heard he then rang his pal Abbie Jevins to see if the car could be stored on her driveway. She was on reportedly on holiday at the time. Detective Constable Joanne Sheedy, who was conducting the interview, said: "You’re saying some random males in a car crossed the carriageway, shout over to you. Tell you it’s going to get damaged?" Radford agreed.Ashley Dale collapsed and died in the back garden of her Liverpool home shortly after midnight on August 21 2022 having been shot in the abdomen. Five men are currently on trial accused of her murder.
A Hyundai i30N Performance which was used to transport the gunman to and from the scene was found parked on the driveway of a house on Waring Avenue in St Helens on October 9 2022. It came after officers were called to "reports of a domestic incident" which was said to be entirely "unrelated to this case".
