Aston Villa have approached manufacturers Castore about their kit amid concerns the heavy and uncomfortable shirt is having a negative impact on their men's team's performances
Aston Villa are under huge pressure to fix their 'wet-look' kit problem ahead of the new Women's Super League campaign.
Commentator Jacqui Oatley is among those to raise concerns. "Has anyone considered how the Villa women's players are going to feel playing in these clingy wet-look shirts?" wrote Oatley on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday. The commentator noted: "Reminder, Villa's women's team are due to kick-off their WSL season... the last thing the players should be having to worry about is clingy wet-look kit. It's bad for the men and impossible for the women. Castore have four days to fix it."
