ASU women’s basketball played without starting guard Jaddan Simmons and dressed eight players against Missouri in Sunday's loss at Desert Financial Arena.

Arizona State women’s basketball got a burst of energy in the second quarter, but couldn’t sustain it as the Sun Devils dropped its second-straight contest at Desert Financial Arena in a 71-60 loss to Missouri on Sunday.

Scoring didn’t come easy for ASU as the Sun Devils shot 2-for-15 in the first quarter. However, ASU managed to chip in offensively at the line with five points and limited Missouri to not scoring any second chance points. Missouri moved the ball better, but were only behind by five points after the quarter ended.

Imogen Greenslade’s steal sets up Meg Newman on the fast break to tie the game at 24 at 3:41 in the second quarter.
