An Australian woman has given birth to twin girls who share the same body and vital organs but have their own faces and brains.
Renee Young gave birth to her girls, Faith and Hope, in Sydney last Thursday, six weeks early, via Caesarean section. The miracle babies are a result of a condition called disprosopus. Only 35 cases of it have been recorded but sadly none have survived.: “I would say, if I only get two days with the baby, I only get two days with the baby, at least I have some time with it… I think they’re beautiful and Simon thinks they’re beautiful so really that’s all that matters”.
Doctors are apparently taking things day by day when it comes to the babies who have already defied the odds by surviving beyond birth.
