Authorities locate vehicle suspected in video showing men pointing guns at Cleveland police officer

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirms that authorities have located a vehicle suspected to be involved in aThe incident began Friday afternoon when Euclid police spotted the car and unsuccessfully tried to pull it over, OSHP Sergeant Ray Santiago said in a news conference.An OSHP helicopter was also tracking the car, which Santiago said was stolen, before the driver stopped and fled on foot.

The driver then entered a home in the 6900 block of Colfax Road in the Kinsman neighborhood, according to Santiago.According to Santiago, the home was surrounded after the woman, her children and their dog were able to get out safely. The driver was taken into custody and arrested, Santiago said, and his identity is not being released at this time.

Authorities have not yet confirmed if the driver or the vehicle are actually involved in the video, according to Santiago, who said the incident remains under investigation.The video was posted to social media and received thousands of views, but it has since been removed.Cleveland police said the man pictured here, as well as a second man, are persons of interest in their investigation.Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland police at 216-623-5318.Copyright 2022 WOIO.
