The average price has risen $1.176 during the streak, setting a record each day. It’s 14.7 cents more than one week ago, $1.174 higher than one month ago and $2.016 greater than one year ago. The weekly increase of 14.7 cents is less than half of the 32.9-cent increase the previous week.Oil in New York fell after a volatile session for Brent futures as Germany and Hungary put the brakes on a potential embargo on Russian oil.
