As a result, Oak Bay approved zero net new homes in 2022, according to an analysis by the advocacy group. When Eby first announced the housing targets through the Housing Supply Act, he promised that communities that build the required housing will be rewarded with cash for amenities such as bike lanes, recreation centres and infrastructure to support growing populations.
