Known as a top class operator across the backline, All Blacks star Jordie Barrett has revealed his favourite position and it's not great news for Robbie Henshaw and Jamie Osborne in particular
Beware Robbie Henshaw , Jamie Osborne and even Hugo Keenan - Jordie Barrett sees his Leinster future in the 12 or 15 jersey.
"In some ways I was a bit of a jack of all trades and master of none for a number of years there, but I feel like it's probably stood me in great stead for where I am at the moment," he said. "So, I guess when you're trying to solidify yourself in one position, whether you're 12 or full back. "I'd like to think a number 12 that can probably play 15, and that's the way I see myself," he said. "At a stretch, can play a wing still, but I think most of our value is at 12. But I still enjoy 15, even since transitioning into the midfield with the All Blacks and the Hurricanes throughout the week, I've always trained at fall back.
"Yeah, Sam, he's awesome," gushed the 27-year-old. "He's a breath of fresh air, a good young kid with a good head on his shoulders.
