Ballyfermot: Woman arrested after man stabbed to death in Dublin flat

A woman has been arrested after a man was stabbed to death in a flat in west Dublin.

A woman has been arrested by Gardaí after a man died in a flat in west Dublin.

Shortly after 2.30am on Tuesday, Gardaí and emergency services attended the flat in Claddagh Court, Ballyfermot where a man aged in his late 30s was found with an apparent stab wound.The man was treated at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later. A woman, aged in her late 40s, has since been arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.The body of the man remains at the scene, which is preserved for a forensic and technical examination.
