Ireland finished sixth in the Eurovision Song Contest final last night following tensions and controversy in the lead-up to the event
Gothic singer Bambie Thug bewitched the music world as Ireland’s act finished in sixth place at Eurovision last night.
Bambie, 31, had caused controversy ahead of the final by failing to appear for the dress rehearsal and flag parade earlier in the day. “I have been patiently waiting to hear what action is set to be taken by the EBU following this rule break.”They added: “Bambie Thug did not perform in Dress Rehearsal 3 and the footage of their performance in Dress Rehearsal 2 was used in its place.
On Tuesday, a commentator on Kan, the Israeli public service broadcaster, warned TV viewers with kids that Bambie’s performance of their song would be “the most scary” of the night.Bambie said: “I’m angry with other teams breaching their rules of the EBU, and still being allowed in.” “Bambie Thug, such a great performer and Ireland have done a very good job of production this year and this is tipped to do extremely well.” Bambie appeared on stage for the final last night and produced an epic performance of Doomsday Blue.
