Leeds United fell to their third defeat of the season on Wednesday night as they lost 1-0 against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium. Here’s the winners and losers from the clash.A rare bright spark on what was a difficult night for the Whites all round. The Frenchman dropped deep, got stuck in and took knocks but he was the only man that looked capable of carving something out for a majority of the contest.
He did have a bright moment in the second half, beating two men in the Stoke box to create an opportunity before firing just wide. But, it wasn’t enough to prevent him from being hooked by Daniel Farke and replaced by Summerville midway through the second half.You can’t blame him for wanting to take the penalty in the second half. The striker hasn’t scored yet this season and while Summerville was putting his hand up to take it, Bamford was insistent.
