Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says temperatures will climb to the upper 80s tomorrow and near 90 by Wednesday.Thursday will be hot with highs in the lower to mid 90s. The record of 96 degrees was set in 1990.
A cold front arrives on Friday, brining much less humid air and temperatures below average, only in the mid-80s. The upcoming weekend is looking quite nice. Swells and an elevated rip current risk from a distant “Fiona” arrive as early as tomorrow, but especially by Wednesday. They will linger through at least Friday.Hurricane Fiona is about 25 miles south of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic this morning. Fiona is forecast to strengthen some today as it moves northwest. Puerto Rico is still see rain bands on the eastern side of the hurricane. Fiona will move northwest today and affect the Turks and Caicos and Southern Bahamas tomorrow.
