Barclays has also pulled out of sponsoring Latitude and Isle of Wight Festival

Barclays has pulled out of sponsorship from Download Festival following protests from a number of bands over the banking giant's alleged links to Israel. Several acts had dropped out of the Donington Park rock festival due to the bank reportedly providing financial services to defence companies supplying Israel.

At least four bands had previously announced that they would no longer be performing at Download this weekend due to the sponsorship from Barclays. This included US punk band Scowl, who said “We will not be playing Download fest this year due to Barclays Bank sponsorship of the event and Barclays’ connection to Israel."Barclays has also pulled out from sponsoring a number of other festivals, including Latitude and Isle of Wight.

"We have been in talks with Download themselves, expressing our serious objection at Barclays' involvement. We have considered all options, and along with other artists have been working tireless on this.
