A half-naked robber armed with a stick and a stone attempted to rob a petrol station in Australia on Thursday night.
The suspect tried to break into the station before giving up and allegedly threatening staff
The suspect – perhaps loosely inspired by classic 1990s Keanu Reeves thriller Point Break – turned up to the store in a suburb of Ipswich, near Brisbane, barefoot and wearing only a pair of beach shorts. The stone can be seen punching a hole through one side and shattering the glass but isn’t enough to break it open.
He eventually appears to give up before moving towards a service window further down the building, where detectives say he began ‘threatening staff and demanding cash’.
