A man suffered serious injuries after he was attacked in Barrow. An appeal has been launched as part of an investigation into the serious assault that took place on Cavendish Street and Preston Street in the town.Police believe a number of people were in the area at the time and could have seen what happened.A local man in his 20s suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries during the attack. Officers are looking to identify a man believed to have been involved in the incident.

He is described as white, with short brown hair. He wore a black t-shirt, black skinny-fit jeans and dark trainers. Police are also appealing for two men who witnessed the incident to come forward to assist with enquiries. One man is described as, white and wearing a black t shirt, with a bright-coloured jacket tied around his waist and dark jeans. The other is described as white and wearing denim shorts and a grey hooded jacket.
