The ban on visitors at the Bath Royal United Hospital will be in place until further notice.
A hospital has suspended visiting in response to rising numbers of Covid-19 on the wards and in the community.
Chief nurse Toni Lynch said the decision was not taken lightly but would keep patients and staff safe, which was their "top priority".Cases of Covid-19 have continued to hit record highs due to the highly infectious Omicron variant,Great Western Hospital in Wiltshire has also suspended visitors due to the rise.
