Liberty quarterback Nate Bell is the Bay Area News Group boys high school athlete of the week for Nov. 7-12 after he received 38.54% of the vote at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
Clayton Valley football player Micah Avery finished second and St. Francis football player Kingston Keanaaina took third.Bell completed 7 of 9 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 100 yards and two TDs in 11 carries to help lead Liberty to a 35-21 victory over Amador Valley in the first round of the NCS Open/Division I playoffs.
