Divers pulled her submerged car out of the water and found her body inside.
The woman in the car has been identified as 77-year-old Susan Arlynn Waskow of Walnut Creek, said Deputy Sheriff Alexandra Britton, a spokesperson with the Merced County Sheriff’s Office. When the Merced County Dive Team responded to the I-5 area just north of Highway 152, they pulled Waskow’s red 2018 Audi out of the water and discovered her body inside.
