Bayern Munich fought off a spirited Celtic challenge to win 2-1 in Glasgow, Feyenoord silenced AC Milan, Club Brugge edged Atalanta in a dramatic penalty finish, and Benfica won 1-0 against 10-man Monaco.

Bayern Munich secured a narrow 2-1 victory over a resilient Celtic at Celtic Park in Glasgow, taking a slender advantage into the second leg of their Champions League knockout round play-off. The Bundesliga giants dominated large swathes of the match but were made to work hard for the win as the Scottish side mounted a spirited comeback in the closing stages. Celtic almost had the dream start when Nicolas Kuhn unleashed a stunning shot in the opening minute.

However, the goal was disallowed due to an offside call against Adam Idah. Bayern eventually took control and went ahead before the break through a powerful strike from Michael Olise. Harry Kane doubled their lead shortly after the restart with a thunderous volley from a corner.Celtic refused to be cowed and pulled a goal back through Daizen Maeda's close-range header in the 79th minute, setting up a tense finale. Meanwhile, Feyenoord defeated AC Milan 1-0 at home thanks to an early goal from Igor Paixao. Club Brugge edged past Atalanta 2-1 in a dramatic encounter that was decided by a penalty in stoppage time. Isak Hien was penalized for a foul on Gustaf Nilsson, who calmly converted the spot-kick. Brugge had earlier taken the lead through Ferran Jutgla before Mario Pasalic levelled for the Serie A side. In another tight contest, Benfica emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over 10-man Monaco. Vangelis Pavlidis scored the only goal of the match shortly after halftime. A second yellow card for Moatasem Al-Musrati further hampered Monaco's efforts to salvage a result
