BBCBreakfast forced off air after panic as fire alarm sounds
The show was pulled off air as the sirens went off and an announcer could be heard saying: “Attention, attention, please evacuate the building by the nearest available exit.”
The presenters were clearly unsure how to react by the sound of the alarm and Rachel was first to address viewers about it.Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter As the show ended early, viewers were left with a blank screen saying BBC Breakfast and were forced to wait for the next show to begin.One said: “Guys if your have a fire alarm going off and there is no planned test, it’s probably a really wise thing to down tools and get out of the building. If your workplace doesn’t go through fire safety on your induction, do have words. #bbcbreakfast”.
While a third shared: “ #BBCBreakfast staff reacting to an evacuation alarm like everyone else there... do we have to leave? Oh it's stopped. Oh great it hasn’t."BBC Breakfast took to their Twitter later in the day to reassure fans.
