Barnabas Varga had to be stretchered off the pitch after colliding with Angus Gunn, with the BBC then cutting away their coverage after the host broadcaster showed a replay of the incident
BBC presenter Gabby Logan has apologised to viewers after a replay was shown of Hungary star Barnabas Vargas' sickening injury which left his teammates in tears as he was stretchered off the field.
The stretcher bearers then walked onto the pitch, with Hungary's furious players rushing to hurry them up. The host broadcaster opted to play a replay of the incident, with the BBC stream then cutting away to a wide-angle view of the Stuttgart Arena. "There are protocols around this kind of thing after Christian Eriksen three years ago. We were very surprised that UEFA chose to play in that replay, which is why we cut away to a wide angle as soon as we could."
