That saw him slip two-under-par for the tournament and three shots behind joint-leaders Billy Horschel and Daniel Brown, who Lowry was playing alongside. As the BBC reported on The Open during their evening news programme, Lowry was referred to as "Northern Irish", with a number of viewers spotting the error.
