Strictly Come Dancing bosses have addressed the backlash about this year's line-up
Strictly Come Dancing chiefs have responded to criticism aimed at the line-up for the show's 22nd series. The full cast of this year's BBC One competition was finally unveiled, following months of anticipation and controversy. This was sparked by allegations of misconduct against some of the programme's dancers, Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima.
' Reacting to comments about this year's contestants, a Strictly spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: 'We are really excited about this year's line up and look forward to the series starting.' Defending the selection process, the spokesperson also remarked: 'There are many factors that influence the casting process to ensure we have a good mix of celebrities from a broad range of backgrounds.
