Michaela Walsh now holds 11 Irish titles, a new record
Michaela Walsh followed Olympic teammate Kellie Harrington as the pair surged to a record 11th Irish title on Saturday night.
Olympic gold medallist Harrington was the first to hit 11 after she defeated Tramore's Zara Breslin in the 60kg division, claiming an impressive 5-0 win. The championships at the National Stadium have been moved ahead of schedule with Olympic Qualifiers beginning at the start of 2023 as Ireland look to add to their roster of five selected fighters.
Speaking before Saturday's fights, Walsh said she dien't mind if Harrington pipped her to the 11th title.
