Belfast Police Seek Information After Aggravated Burglary

Belfast police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary on Coolfin Street on Sunday night. Multiple men entered a property, threatened the resident, and demanded money. One of the men assaulted the victim with a hammer, causing head and body injuries. The victim was hospitalized for treatment. Detectives are urging anyone with information, including CCTV footage, to come forward.

Shortly before 8.30pm on Sunday night, January 19, officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland were alerted to reports of an aggravated burglary involving multiple men on Coolfin Street in south Belfast.

Detective Sergeant McCartan said: "At approximately 8.25pm we received a report that a number of men had gained access to a property in the Coolfin Street area."The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries to his head and body. "I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anyone suspicious in the area or to anyone with CCTV or other footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 1411 19/01/25."
