Launched in 2010, The Stage Awards highlights the achievements of theatre companies and individuals across the UK and globally - from national theatres and large-scale organisations to small theatres above pubs and behind-the-scenes heroes.
Lyric Theatre in Belfast has been named joint first in the 'Theatre of the Year' category at a ceremony at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Monday.It has been recognised alongside The Bush Theatre in London for the top accolade of the night.They said: "We won! "We’re humbled and absolutely thrilled to win Theatre of the Year at The Stage Awards and in good company too with the other winner Bush Theatre!
