Bell Sport & Classic Spent Three Years Restoring This Gorgeous Ferrari 330 GTC | Carscoops carscoops

. The process started with all the interior components being removed over a two week period before focus turned to the exterior with all the brightwork, bumpers, headlights, and glass being removed.

Work then started on the underpinnings of the 330 GTC where Bell Sport & Classic stripped down the suspension, sandblasted all vital components, and refurbished and retained parts including the original shock absorbers, suspension arms, and springs. As with any restoration of this kind, extreme attention was paid to the exterior of the car, ensuring that it looks just as good as it did when it left the factory.

Handling the restoration of the interior was O’Rourke Coachtrimmers and Suppliers. The customer asked for the black leather to be replaced with the Ferrari Conolly VM 218 fawn leather matched with period-correct detailing, including the color and weave of the carpets and headlining. The original seat frames were retained and new foam inserts were installed.

One particularly tricky part of the restoration was the dashboard. While the original wooden veneer was in good condition, it did have a hole in it. This forced O’Rourke Coachtrimmers and Suppliers to fill the hole after trying dozens of different wood stains to find the correct match.was also rebuilt with even the smallest stud being stripped, vapor-blasted, refurbished, and replated as required.

“With this Ferrari 330 GTC, we have created a car that looks perfect from first glance right down to the details you will never see,” Bell Sport & Classic’s Head of Acquisition & Sales, Peter Smith described. “We believe passionately that beauty is so much more than skin-deep. That’s why, if you took this car apart, every component would look new, even though it is fifty-six years old.
