A loving couple, Georgina and Anthony Hogg, tragically died in a hit and run accident in Dublin on St Stephen's Day. Their funeral will be held on Friday, with their family requesting attendees to wear bright colours.
A loving couple sadly killed during a horror hit and run in Dublin over Christmas will be laid to rest on Friday. Georgina, 39, and Anthony, 40, Hogg were both tragically killed during a hit and run incident on St Stephen’s Day in Blanchardstown, West Dublin. The horror crash occurred at around 5.45pm involving a car and four pedestrians. Two pedestrians who were present at the scene were uninjured.
Georgina was pronounced dead at the scene, while her husband Anthony was rushed to hospital but later died from his injuries. The couple, who have two children Ryan and Becky, are understood to have gotten married in recent years and lived in the Whitestown area nearby. Funeral details for the couple, who will be remembered by their beloved children, mothers, and many extended family and friends, have been announced. Anto and Georgina’s removal to the Church of St. Philip the Apostle, Mountview will take place on Friday morning, with requiem mass at 11am followed by a celebration of their lives in Dardistown Crematorium at 1.30pm. Tributes have poured in for the couple following their passing. One mourner wrote: “So hard to put into words. Georgina and Anto’s passing has shook the entire nation. Condolences to their two children and to their families and friends. I pray you find strength to get through this difficult time.” Another penned: “Beyond sad that this beautiful couple lost their lives condolences to their family especially their children who are left without their mammy and daddy may they both rest in peace”
