The Englishman wants the club to build on a strong start in European competition.

And he is determined to make home advantage count with three games coming up in a week in Govan, with Livingston visiting in the League Cup on Wednesday, followed by Aberdeen. Davies said: “Thursday night against Real Betis was a really big step in the right direction. You can see the crowd when they are with the team. They are incredible.
“Any home game, they will try and make it difficult for us but they will pose threats as well. We will rest, recover then look forward to the game on Sunday, which is equally if not more important than this one. “The first 30 minutes we were not pleased with what we were doing on the ball as a team. I think we can get better. I think we will get better. We just need to get a run of results that will breed confidence.
“We really grew into it and we deserved to win. It was a big result for everyone and it was good to get the crowd with us and hopefully gives them a bit of optimism.”
