. He is expected to miss some practice time during Bengals training camp.
Burrow led the Bengals to the Super Bowl last season, completing 70.4% of his passes and throwing for 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns in 16 games after returning from a gruesome knee injury that cut his promising rookie season short. The 25-year-old quarterback, who started his college career at Ohio State before transferring to LSU and leading the Tigers to a national championship, threw five touchdowns and two interceptions in four playoff games as the Bengals upset the top-seeded Titans and defending AFC champion Chiefs before losing to the Rams in the Super Bowl.
Bengals team president Mike Brown said on Monday during his team’s annual media luncheon that extending the team’s top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft was a focus.
