Ofsted nursery inspections take place around every four years
Nurseries across England are inspected by Ofsted at least once every four years to check the requirements for safeguarding, welfare, learning and development are being met.
Following the inspection nurseries will be given a rating from one to four, including ‘outstanding’, ‘good’, ‘requires improvement’ or ‘inadequate’.Ofsted will send nurseries a report with their rating and inform providers how to do better, if there are any areas that can be improved.
