Some superb pics of the fun at Africa Oyé 2023 by our photographers, see if you can spot yourself...

Africa Oyé festival is well underway - with another incredible turn out.

The free to attend festival returned today for the first of two days of live music, workshops, DJ stages, food stalls and a range of traders to festival goers. A bit of rain didn't dampen spirits as hundreds of people attended the festival at Sefton Park. Originally launched as a series of gigs in Liverpool back in 1992, the festival is now one of the city's most popular events that celebrates the music and culture of Africa. Among the acts performing at Sefton Park this weekend are Ghanian highlife stars FRA!, Cameroonian soloist Veeby, and guitarist, percussionist and balafón player, Kimi Djabaté.
