It's fair to say you won't get bored anytime soon
The Lake District, it's a wonderful place and it's fair to say that you'll never get bored when you're here. From walking in the fells, to browsing a museum or art gallery there are plenty of things to do.
We've rounded up some of the best autumn days out so you can just get and about in our stunning county. Alternatively, you can experience a dose of history at Kendal Castle, once the family home of Katherine Parr, the sixth wife of Henry VIII. Kendal is also a festival hotspot; in November it welcomes the Kendal Mountain Festival, an award-winning adventure film and speaker festival and a must-visit gathering for outdoor enthusiasts.
